Carnival of Healing #71
February 3rd, 2007 by Cindy Hebbard
Hello All,
I hope February is finding you healthy and grounded in the beauty of the season. To all of you who submitted posts this week, thank you for your time and efforts. Together, we may make a huge difference in the lives of those needing the messages we offer to our world community.
Let’s start with Teri Robert, who asks us to consider sending our personal response in: Senator Clinton Asks Americans for Input on Improving Healthcare posted at Teri Robert’s Blog. Remember, we all make a difference, and sometimes it’s as simple as sharing a story, a concern or a timely idea.
almomento provides us with a heartfelt half-page lesson in feeling better when we’re really down in: Three Things To Do To Snap Out Of Depression. posted at BurstCreativity. Beautiful!
Linda Freedman (TherapyDoc) is truly one of the most eloquent writers I’ve found out there in the blogosphere. This indepth essay expresses the importance and increased success that is experienced when A.A. is combined with good therapy. Changing Lanes : Alcohol and Anger posted at Everyone needs therapy? Lessons from a family therapist. Thank you, Linda. Your writing is a shining light through modern society’s complicated way of being.
This is one of the best ‘beauty blogs’ I’ve found! Aparna presents us with some fascinating info about one of the world’s great beauty secrets in: Medicinal uses of Pomegranate (Anar) posted at Beauty & Personality Grooming.
This past week, I (finally) completed putting onto paper the story of one of the most challenging and most powerful periods in my adult life. Please read my brief account of when my young daughter was severely burned; how we turned tradegy into triumph, and she experienced a healing miracle in: Protecting Burns found at this site; Wisdom of Healing.
Scott Lee has compiled a list of 20 of the golden little rules for achieving and maintaining good health and a balanced attitude. 20 Ways to Improve Your Life and Health can be found at Dirty Mechanism.
Mary Deyo offers some relief for those who have found themselves feeling lonely and depressed. It’s easy to forget what to do to care for oneself when feeling down, and this post provides gentle, insightful direction in: Cures for Loneliness posted at Dr. Deyo Wants You To Be Happy.
Craig Harper is so cool! I’m not kidding. This post is, simply put, fantastic! We are exactly who we believe ourselves to be, like it or not, and we can change it in a moment with our: Beliefs posted at Renovate your life with Craig.
Anco makes an essential point for us to consider when we choose holistic or complimentary therapies. Please check out: Stop Preventing Your Body From Speaking posted at Tipskey – Unlock Practicality.
Alex Shalman suggests that we look toward an honest to goodness cure-all that is so obvious, yet too few of us get it! Liquid motivation may be found at Alex Shalman . com – Practical Personal Development.
John Hill has provided us with a disturbing recount of a story that is happening all too frequently in medical offices throughout the land these days. Please read: The Power of a Doctor’s Words posted at Universe Of Success. Thanks, John, for addressing this important issue so thoughtfully.
Hueina is another of the great bloggers out there supporting the greater good. She makes a convincing case for setting up what I’ve always referred to as our ‘positive support system’ in: Build Your Success Team posted at Intensive Care for the Nurturer’s Soul. We don’t fare well going it alone and too many of us have our ‘negative support team’ ready to hold us back.
Wenchypoo suggests that: Labeling IS Disabling…To Us posted at Wisdom From Wenchypoo’s Mental Wastebasket. Getting real includes eating real!
Surfer Sam says “Did your New Year’s Resolutions include a promise to lose weight? Don’t just talk about it– do it! Small changes like these can lead to big results. We have great ideas for a successful diet.” Your Best Diet Plan Ever. Small Changes Lead to Big Results posted at Surfer Sam and Friends.
Raymond David Salas has described the therapeutic uses of a detoxification process that can help so many people with health problems in: The Master Cleanser posted at ZenChill.com – Power Tools for Mind, Body, and Soul. This post provides all the important info for optimal use of this cleansing program. I have used The Master Cleanser a couple dozen times and it is truly amazing.
Neelima suggests we become more familiar with the practice of: Tai Chi: The dance of life posted at Healthy B.P.M.. Great for children, too.
Your Natural Remedies presents a list of ideas for folks who need a good night’s sleep in:Insomnia posted at Your Natural Remdies. Two of my faves from the list are ‘Laughing will help relax you and help you sleep better’ and ‘Have sex’, but I just cannot endorse drinking peppermint tea (I was always taught that peppermint, although very beneficial for an after meal digestive aid, is very stimulating and contraindicated for just before bed), nor ‘Put fresh onions right next to your bed – something about the aroma will put you to sleep’. The long-term aroma of onions can stimulate or be a bit nauseating.
Galba Bright states 5 Little Known Ways To Increase Your Emotional Intelligence found at Tune Up Your EQ. I enjoyed the first comment. Check it out!
Martin Roth presents data on the topic of: Home blood pressure monitors – are they accurate? posted at The Personal Health Monitor Blog.
Well, that about wraps it up for this week. I hope this helps you achieve as many of your goals as you can fit on your plate for now. Smile a little smile and keep thinking good thoughts!
