Holistic Therapies for Bone & Joint Health -

Dispelling the Myths and Un-Truths

Did you know that several of the most reliable long-term studies show that almost all calcium supplements are more likely to actually worsen osteoporosis, hip and arm fractures, and increase joint pain?

In contrast, doctors, some nutritionists, the media and a deluge of advertising associated with a wide variety of products and services would have us believe exactly the opposite. We’re told that in order to maintain good bone and joint health, we need 1000 or more mgs. of calcium.

This important class will give you some real answers and dispel many myths so that you and your loved ones can have healthy bones for a lifetime! Learn to choose and prepare nourishing foods to re-mineralize your bones and teeth. Find out which supplements actually work to reduce excess inflammation of knees, hips and other joints, and help us improve bone strength and flexibility.

Wednesday, July 14 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Natural Food Exchange

343 Main Street, Reading, MA
please pre-register: 781- 944-8498

Invasive Species Talk & Work Walk

Let’s meet at the Farmer’s Market and learn about some of the harmful invasive plant species in our region, and how to effectively reduce or eliminate them without the use of chemical herbicides. We will talk about some of the native plants that are being displaced, and how we may restore them, thereby helping to restore the health of the other living things that rely on the native plants.

We won’t walk far, but if you desire, you may join us in pulling, clipping, and otherwise removing a few examples of the invasives, including Japanese knotweed, garlic mustard, etc.

Saturday, July 10  at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm

Brattleboro Farmer’s Market
Route 9, near the Covered Bridge, Exit 2 off I-91
Brattleboro, VT
please pre-register: 1-866- 755-9290 or info @wisdomofhealing.com

Wild green herbs and colorful flowers, growing all around us, have numerous nutritional and medicinal benefits. Free and local, many of these wild plants are considered to be some of the most nourishing foods available to us, even as we toss them onto the compost pile!

We will not travel very far, as the wild plants are everywhere! Please dress appropriately for the weather, including good footwear. We’ll meet rain or shine (but not in an electrical storm). Call for updates.
