Make Your Own Traditional Super-foods

Join Cindy Hebbard, Master Herbalist, to find out how you can easily prepare a variety of delicious, traditionally fermented foods right at home. In this hands-on workshop, you will observe and practice different methods of creating fully-fermented, deeply nourishing cultured foods that your family will enjoy, (even most finicky eaters!) Find out why properly fermented whole foods are considered to be nutritional super-foods, learn their health benefits, cleansing properties, and superior healing potency. We’ll make, and you’ll take home with you, several of the following options with each session:

  • yogurt or kefir,
  • sauerkraut or kimchi,
  • pickled beets, daikon or ginger,
  • beet kvass or coconut water kefir,
  • or a variety of other mostly locally grown organic delights!

Tuesday, March 10, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at Katy’s Great Food, 118 Main Street, Putney, VT 05346    The cost is $49 plus $15 materials fee. Healing Meals for Bone and Joint Health in Putney, VT

In Healing Meals for Bone and Joint Health, lead by Cindy Hebbard, Master Herbalist, we will prepare a delicious feast made with foods to strengthen your bones and improve the flexibility in your joints. We’ve been told to take calcium pills for bones, but they are actually shown to cause more osteoporosis, not less! Cindy will share how to prepare simple, balanced meals that deliver our daily dose of nutrients and cleansing benefits for long-term bone and joint health. Enjoy the meal together at the end, or you can take yours home.
